Lock/Unlock a Cash Drawer

Use these steps to lock or unlock a cashier terminal cash drawer with its key.

Lock the Drawer

  1. Insert the key, smooth edge up, serrated edge down, in the key-hole.
  2. Turn the key clockwise 1/2 rotation.

  1. Remove the key. The cash drawer is locked.

Unlock the Drawer

  1. Insert the key, smooth edge down, serrated edge up, in the key-hole.
  2. Turn the key counterclockwise 1/2 rotation.

  1. Remove the key. The cash drawer is unlocked.
