RFID Reader Fails to Read a Tag
RFID reader always searches for an RFID tag, but never reads it for a specific vehicle/customer.
Cause
This can occur if the RFID tag is bad, the tag's placement is bad, or the vehicle's windshield technology interferes with the RFID identification process.
Resolve
- Look up the RFID tag to verify it's assigned to an active plan.
- If the tag is assigned to an active plan, select Apply Plan.
Prevent
- Open the kiosk staff screen.
- Verify the RFID reader identifies the tag. If not, it's either a bad tag, or an issue with the tag's placement or windshield.
- Replace the tag and verify its placement. If the issue is not resolved, contact Patheon support with the vehicle year, make, model, and trim (if available).
