Tender a Sale to Credit Card
Use these steps to tender a sale to a credit card at a cashier terminal. Steps are available for both card present (insert or tap at card reader) entry and manual entry on the cashier terminal.
Card Present
Use these steps to tender a sale to a credit card when the card is present.
- Log in to the cashier application.
- Select Sales. The Sales panel opens.

- Add at least one product to the cart.
- Select . A Credit dialog briefly opens with Payment terminal has been activated.

- Direct the customer to follow the payment terminal prompts.
- After the sale is tendered, a Credit dialog opens with Tendered: $#.## and a receipt prints.

- Hand the receipt to the customer.
- Select . The dialog closes.
Manual Entry
Use these steps to tender a sale to a credit card by manually entering the card account number and when the card is not present.
- Log in to the cashier application.
- Select Sales. The Sales panel opens.

- Add at least one product to the cart.
- Select . An Add Credit Card dialog opens.
- Select . The Add Credit Card dialog closes, a Credit dialog stating Payment terminal has been activated opens, and the attached card reader prompts, Please Key In Card Number.
- Enter the credit card account number using the card reader's numeric keypad.
- Select enter (green circle). The card reader prompts, Enter Expiration Date.
- Enter the credit card expiration date, in MMYY format (for example, 0328 for March 2028), using the card reader's numeric keypad.
- Select enter (green circle). The credit card is submitted for processing, and displays Approved, if the card is successfully processed; the Credit dialog updates to state Tendered.
- Select . The dialog closes.
