Patheon Tax Codes

Sites that use the Avalara AvaTax tax integration feature can choose from the tax codes below when configuring a product or service that should apply tax. A site's tax tables can also be configured to automatically refresh Once per month or Twice per month.

Important: Consult a local accountant or attorney to determine which tax codes to apply.

Available Tax Codes

The following tax codes are available in Patheon.

Tax Code	Description
NT	Non-taxable product*
P0000000	Tangible Personal Property (TPP)
SA090102	Car Washing Services

*There are two ways to prevent tax from being calculated and applied to a product. In the Sales Tax section of the product's configuration, set Apply Tax Code(s) to No to prevent tax from being calculated and applied to the product. Alternatively, set Apply Tax Code(s) to Yes and assign the NT code to the product.
