Patheon R62 Release Notes

Patheon release 62 includes the following enhancements:

  • Sites can now print receipts for completed transactions from another site, enabling staff to provide accurate, site-specific documentation when assisting customers across locations.
  • The Carpics cameras at kiosk terminal lanes and member (semi-attended) lanes now automatically update missing plan vehicle images, helping to improve operational efficiency and reduce backlogs and errors.
  • Sites that use CardConnect as the payments processor can now disable NFC for plan purchases at kiosk terminals, preventing tap-to-pay plan purchases that would cause reload failures and thereby reducing failed reloads and related customer support work.
  • Sites can now include the customer's primary phone number on receipts to help improve contact accuracy and staff accountability.
  • Staff can now assign employee roles to all sites, including future sites, helping to reduce administrative overhead.
  • Gift card transfer amounts now display on the General Sales Report, Prepaid Product Balance Report, and the Insights 2.0 Liabilities dashboard, helping to improve financial visibility.
  • Tablet terminals now allow staff to take vehicle photos from the Customer panel, enabling faster and more convenient image capture at the point of interaction.

Enhancements

Employees

Employee roles can now be assigned to all sites

  • Staff can now choose a new Select all sites (includes future sites) option when assigning employee roles in Patheon Portal, which grants the role to every current site and automatically to any sites added later. This differs from the Select All option, which only marks sites that exist at the time of selection. The setting is applied per role assignment and takes effect immediately for employees with that role, eliminating the need to revisit role assignments each time a new site is created.

Gift Cards

Gift card transfers are now reflected across reports and dashboards

  • Gift card transfers now appear on the Prepaid Product Balance Report paginated report, the General Sales Report paginated report, and the Insights 2.0 Liabilities dashboard. The Prepaid Product Balance Report paginated report will show the adjusted balance for the entered gift card; entering the old gift card shows the previous balance minus the transferred-out amount, while entering the new gift card shows the previous balance plus the transferred-in amount (or the transferred amount as the remaining balance if the card was fully emptied). The General Sales Report paginated report now records gift card transfers as sales entries; in the Detail view, a transferred out gift card creates a new Redeemed line and a transferred-in gift card creates a new Added line. In the Summary view, those same lines aggregate by increasing Quantity Completed and adding the transferred amounts to the Amount line. The Insights 2.0 Liabilities dashboard now provides gift card transfer activity so liabilities reflect both transfer-out amounts and transfer-in amounts.

Payments

 Sites can now disable NFC for unattended plan purchases

  • Sites that use CardConnect as the payment processor can now disable (in Patheon Portal) NFC for plan purchases at kiosk terminals.. When the Disable NFC for unattended plan purchases option is set to Yes, the system will disable the NFC reader during plan purchases so tap-to-pay can't be used to purchase a plan. When the Disable NFC for unattended plan purchases option is set to No, the NFC reader remains enabled during plan purchases, resulting in possible failed plan purchases and recurring renewals.

POS - Tablet 

Staff can now capture a vehicle photo with a tablet terminal from the customer panel

  • Attendants with a tablet terminal can now capture vehicle photos during plan redemptions, prepaid redemptions, and wash purchases. Once the vehicle image is captured, staff can access it from the customer panel or the sales history panel.

Receipts

Sites can now print receipts for transactions completed at a different site

  • Sites can now print receipts for transactions completed at another site. When viewing a completed transaction from a different site, a Print Receipt function is available. The receipt will include the origin site's branding and contact details as configured; if the origin site has no logo or contact details configured, those elements will not appear on the printed receipt.

Receipts can now include the customer's primary phone number

  • Sites can now enable customers' primary phone numbers to be printed on transaction and plan authorization receipts on Patheon Portal. When enabled, the feature applies to all receipt types and sites for a client; there is no per-site or per-receipt granularity. If a customer has no primary phone on file, the field on the receipt remains blank.

Wash Subscriptions

Missing plan vehicle images are now automatically captured at unattended kiosk terminal lanes and member's lanes

  • When a plan member redeems their plan at a kiosk terminal or semi-attended cashier terminal lane (member's lane) and a Carpics camera successfully captures a vehicle photo, the system will automatically update the customer's vehicle image if it doesn't have a vehicle image. Existing vehicle images will not be overwritten by this automatic update; if no photo is taken or the camera is offline.

Customers

  • An issue that could result in customer notifications for unsubscribe actions were failing is resolved. 

POS - Cashier

  • An issue that could cause multiple items in the Country drop-down to be simultaneously highlighted when adding another vehicle on the customer details panel is resolved.

POS - Tablet 

  • An issue that could prevent the Car on Plan photo from displaying on the customer panel during plan redemption is resolved.

Receipts

  • An issue that could enable the Print Receipt function for abandoned transactions is resolved.

Reports

  • An issue that could double an asset amount on the General Sales Report is resolved.
