Tender a Sale to Partial Payment

Use the following steps to tender a sale more than one tender.

Note: An amount can't be specified prior to partial tendering with a credit card. Therefore, direct customers to use other payment methods, such as cash, gift card, or check, before tendering to a credit card.

Gift Card + Credit Card

Use these step when a gift card's available balance is less than the total due and the customer tenders the remaining balance to a credit card.

  2. Tender the sale to the gift card. The amount due is reduced by the gift card's remaining balance.
  3. Tender the balance to credit card.
