Patheon R52 Release Notes

Patheon release 52 includes the following enhancements:

  • Sites can now configure and sell open-priced lobby and a la carte products. Sites can use this to reduce the number of similar (but with different price) products they need to configure, as well as help increase revenue and customer engagement by expanding the products and services they offer.
  • Cashier terminals can now alert staff to a duplicate customer when adding a new, or editing an existing, customer by their phone number; this mirrors the existing Patheon Portal function. Organizations can use this to prevent new, or resolve existing, duplicate customer issues. Important: This feature must be enabled for an organization by DRB staff.
  • The customer creation and edit process at a cashier terminal is enhanced to more closely mirror the process in Patheon Portal, by editing a customer's vehicle directly from the same panel, rather than an additional panel. This provides a faster, more consistent experience, which can help reduce staff training time and uncertainty, while also improving customer satisfaction.
  • Wash plan sale enrollment at cashier terminals is now streamlined to a single panel, rather than a multi-step process that spans multiple panels. In addition, the Add Card function and step in previous releases are removed, and replaced by the plan sale tendering process, so that the card-on-file is automatically captured and stored with the customer's plan. Sites can use this to reduce time spent selling wash plans at a cashier terminal.
  • The customer and vehicle information required when selling a new wash plan subscription from a cashier terminal can now be configured in Patheon Portal. Sites can use this to control the information they want to require when selling a wash plan, while also streamlining the wash plan sale process.
  • The Essential Web Application (EWA) customer app now supports the ability for customers to purchase prepaid and instant prepaid washes from the app (from the existing Washes menu; EWA PayGo washes are moved to a new Pay-As-You-Go menu). Sites can use this to offer more options, and increase non-plan customer traffic and revenue.
  • The EWA customer app now displays an informative message if a payment fails due to too many transactions within a short period of time. This can reduce customer confusion, as well as the amount of time that sites spend addressing customer questions or confusion.
  • General data synchronization enhancements.
  • General bug fixes.

Enhancements

POS - Cashier

Open priced products can now be configured and sold on cashier terminals

  • Product configuration is enhanced to now include the ability to configure open price lobby products and a la carte products. Configuration includes a minimum price setting (the minimum value that can be configured is $1) and maximum price setting (the maximum value that can be configured is $99,999.99). Cashier terminal staff are then prompted to enter a price when selling an open price lobby product or open price a la carte product.

Cashier terminals can now display duplicate customer(s) when an existing phone number is entered

  • If customer phone number validation is enabled, when staff enter an existing phone number, a list of duplicate customers is displayed. Staff are prompted to either select an existing customer or enter a different, unique phone number. Important: This feature is included with Patheon systems, however it must be enabled by DRB. Contact DRB to enable this feature (the setting applies to both cashier terminals and Patheon Portal; it can't be enabled for one and disabled for the other).

Customer information entry on cashier terminals is updated to more closely mirror Patheon Portal

  • The customer creation form on the cashier terminals now exhibits the following behaviors: phone is required/not required depending on feature enablement, email field is now located next to phone number elements, and address fields are now in their own section.

POS - EWA Customer App

An error message now displays on the EWA if a customer attempts too many payment requests within a brief amount of time

  • When customers on the EWA exceed the purchase throttling limit, this error message displays: "Too many attempts. Please, try again later".

Customers can now purchase prepaid washes from the EWA

  • The EWA customer app now supports the ability for customers to purchase prepaid and instant prepaid washes from the app (from the existing Washes menu; EWA PayGo washes are moved to a new Pay-As-You-Go menu).

Wash Subscriptions

Customer information entry for wash plan enrollment at cashier terminals is now configurable

Wash plan enrollment is streamlined to be more efficient

  • Wash plan sale enrollment at cashier terminals is now streamlined to a single panel, rather than a multi-step process that spans multiple panels. In addition, the Add Card function and step in previous releases are removed, and replaced by the plan sale tendering process, so that the card-on-file is automatically captured and stored with the customer's plan.
