Patheon R63 Release Notes

Patheon release 63 includes the following enhancements:

  • Sites can now view concise diagnostic reasons for peripherals showing error messages on the kiosk diagnostics panel, enabling quick self-diagnosis during troubleshooting and thereby reducing unnecessary reboots and support call volume.
  • Staff can now manually enter credit card details directly at attended EMV readers for CardConnect payment processors, enabling over-the-phone payments and fallback for chip-read failures on site, reducing transaction delays and support escalation.
  • The tablet POS terminals now uses the Dynamsoft JavaScript scanning SDK in place of the previous open-source library to improve on-board camera barcode scanning, helping to increase throughput, improve efficiency and boost customer satisfaction.
  • Staff can now filter transactions by date range on the sales history panel of a cashier terminal to quickly locate relevant transactions, helping to speed up customer interactions.
  • The Insights 2.0 sales insights dashboard now includes a new Insights Details page with a custom date range selector to view all wash types, discount types, gross and net revenue, plans sold, and plans reloaded, enabling staff to analyze trends and the impact of promotions over any period and thereby improving revenue visibility and reduce time spent on manual reporting and data reconciliation.
  • Staff can now add and remove vehicles that belong to a plan directly inside the plan details panel of the cashier terminal so deferred removals are staged without creating transactions while only immediate removals generate a transaction, reducing unnecessary transactions and improving maintainability and user experience.
  • Staff can now view retracts added during a sale in the transaction details rather than the customer notes panel, keeping notes uncluttered while preserving retracts for improved auditability and reporting.
  • Staff can now increase the lookback window for transaction-based conditions in the segment builder, with options like Last Year or All time, so they can build broader, longer-term segments and trigger promotions without the previous 90-day limit, improving campaign flexibility and accuracy.
  • The Cross Site Redemptions Over Time graph located on the Insights 2.0 plan analytics dashboard now shows numeric values at each interval, improving clarity and speeding analysis.
  • The EWA user interface text and pricing display is now updated for clarity and consistency.

Enhancements

Customers

The segment builder lookback window for transaction conditions can be expanded beyond 90 days on Patheon Portal

  • The segment builder  on Patheon Portal now includes presets for the lookback window such as Last Year and All Time or providing a flexible date picker to remove the limit entirely. Expanding the window enables use cases like long-running promotions and loyalty flows that need transaction history beyond 90 days.

Dashboards

The Insights 2.0 Sales Insight dashboard now includes a custom date range

  • The sales insight dashboard now lets users pick a custom date range to view a focused summary of their sales data, enabling ad-hoc analysis and time-bound reporting. The page includes all wash types, all discount types, gross and net revenue, plans sold, and plans reloaded  for the selected period, giving a consolidated view of key revenue and product activity across their chosen time frame. This makes it easier to evaluate promotion performance, reconcile revenue, and answer operational questions without scanning multiple reports.

The Cross Site Redemptions Over Time graph on the plan analytics dashboard now shows redemption counts on hover

  • Users can now hover over any point on the Cross Site Redemptions Over Time line graph to display the exact redemption count for that interval on the X axis, so they can see precise values without scanning or estimating.

Payments

Staff can now manually enter credit card information at cashier terminals

POS - Cashier

Staff can now filter transactions by date range on the sales history panel

Cashier terminals now support inline vehicle management

  • Staff can now add and remove vehicles that belong to a plan directly inside the plan details panel. Deferred removals are recorded inline and do not create a transaction, while immediate removals continue to generate a transaction for billing and audit purposes.

Retracts are now recorded on the transaction details panel instead of the customer notes panel

  • Temporary retracts added during a sale will now be captured as part of the sale information rather than creating a note on the customer record. This keeps the customer notes section free of repetitive retract entries while preserving full visibility of retract activity with the sale history and transaction details for audit and reporting.

POS - EWA Customer App

The EWA user interface text and pricing displays have been updated

  • On the EWA, several UI text and pricing display updates improve clarity and consistency for customers. The welcome page wording has been changed to "Already signed up?" from "Already a member?" and the button label now reads Log in or Create Account. Services in Plan Details and Active Plan Details are sorted alphabetically, the PAYG panel now includes "per wash" alongside prices, and gift card currency is shown in superscript to match the price style on plan cards.

POS - Kiosk

The diagnostics panel now lists all configured kiosk devices and services with color-coded statuses

  • The diagnostics panel on kiosk terminals now shows a consolidated list of critical and non-critical devices and backend services with real-time, color-coded status indicators to help operators quickly diagnose issues. Statuses use color and symbols: green with a check mark for healthy, yellow with a bell-in triangle for warning, and red with an exclamation-in-triangle for critical. Devices that can impact operation are marked with a "Critical" label. The display also auto-refreshes whenever a device or service status changes so operators always see current system health.

POS - Tablet

Tablets now use the Dynamsoft SDK for faster, more reliable barcode scanning

  • The tablet camera scanner has been upgraded from the previous open source library to the Dynamsoft JavaScript scanning SDK, improving scan speed, read rates, and robustness against obstructions and poor lighting. This integration maintains parity with existing scanning capabilities while boosting performance for fastpass tags, prepaid codes, gift cards, discounts, employee tags, and other barcodes using the device's onboard camera, reducing failed scans and speeding transactions.

Resolved Issues

Dashboards

  • An issue in the Insights 2.0 Plan Analytics and Member Analysis dashboards that could cause the "All Plan Types" selector to  display plan names instead of plan types is resolved.
  • An issue in the Insights 2.0 Plan Analytics and Member Analysis dashboards that could cause plan names to be missing from the table is resolved.

Data Migration

  • An issue that could cause a migration job to display a blank white screen, instead of the expected mapping interface, after extracting a SiteWatch-to-Patheon import.zip and opening the job for editing, is resolved.

Patheon Portal

  • An issue that could cause an "Additional actions required" dialog to appear when modifying configured products in the Patheon Portal is resolved.
  • An issue that could cause the Patheon Portal to freeze and prevent saving a logo is resolved.
  • An issue that could cause edits to house account phone numbers to not persist after navigating away is resolved.

POS - Cashier

  • An issue that could cause Patheon to display an incorrect date on terminals despite the system date being correct is resolved.
  • An issue on the cashier terminal that could prevent configured discounts from applying to eligible house account washes is resolved.

POS - Kiosk

  • An issue that could cause a kiosk reload of a customer's plan, while the plan was in "Reloading" status, to update the plan but not the card-on-file (COF), which could result in the reload being charged to a different card than the one used, is resolved.
  • An issue that could cause an on-site kiosk cash purchase of a TBMR plan to fail to prompt for ZIP/postal code or to scan the RFID is resolved.
  • An issue that could cause scanning a TBAR plan in "Reloading" status at an attended POS to open the modal with the apply option enabled when it should be disabled is now resolved.
  • An issue that could cause the kiosk to remain on the payment screen and the amount due to not update after a cash payment when the kiosk dispensed change, even though the wash had been added to the queue, is resolved.

POS - Tunnel Entrance

  • An issue that could cause an attempt to resend a car, which had been sent to TunnelWatch but remained in the Patheon queue with the send car option disabled, to produce a "Something went wrong. Please contact your administrator for help." error and fail to remove the car from the queue is resolved.

RFID Vehicle ID

  • An issue that could cause RFID values to be null in customerPlanVehhicleHistory for certain customers, even though the vehicle table showed the RFID, resulting in missing vehicle-history entries, is resolved.
