Patheon R64 Release Notes
Patheon release 64 includes the following enhancements:
- Sites can now identify the staff member responsible for the original membership sale with the new SOLD BY field in the PLANS section of the customer detail panel on cashier terminals and Patheon Portal, which enables staff to quickly identify the salesperson when resolving complaints.
- Staff are now notified at other site terminals whenever a SAL lane can't redeem a customer, helping staff respond faster, reduce lane downtime, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Sites can now configure how many pre-sale (pre-receipt) copies print automatically when a cashier terminal sale is released, giving staff extra receipts to affix to vehicles for staff reference, speeding up service, and reducing manual printing.
- The Insights 2.0 Plan Churn dashboard now includes the key drivers behind both voluntary and involuntary churn so sites can act on the root causes.
- Sites can now create discounts that target plan sales, including plan transfers, even when a customer already has a plan. This can help reduce churn and enhance customer experience.
- Staff can now cancel CardConnect payments at cashier terminals, which enables staff to quickly recover the terminal when activation stalls.
- Sites can now push POS Management Tool changes to multiple sites from the organization-level Point of Sale Management panel on Patheon Portal. This can help reduce operational overhead and cost, as well as reduce variability and customer confusion.
- Sites can now offer immediate redemption of prepaid wash cards at the point of sale, helping to speed up service and increase lane throughput.
- Transactional API customers can now sell multiple gift cards in a single Transactional API checkout, so third-party ecommerce sites can offer promotions like BOGO. This can help making running gift card promotions and reconciling sales simpler.
- Data and Transactional API customers now have centralized machine-to-machine (M2M) API token management to make third-party integrations more reliable and controllable, reducing the risk of service interruptions or unexpected changes from runaway token requests.

Enhancements
Alerts
A new SAL-specific alert now notifies staff at other terminals whenever a SAL lane cannot redeem a customer
- A new SAL-specific "Help with redemption needed" alert notifies staff at other site terminals whenever a SAL lane can't redeem a customer. The toast is generated by SAL lanes but not shown on the lane of origin or on terminals in SAL mode, and alerts remain site-local (not synced across sites). Each toast shows the lane name, the "Help with redemption needed:" label, a dynamic reason (license plate or RFID not detected, no matching record, inactive plan status, RFID hardware error, or gate/merge issues) and a running timer that tracks how long the vehicle has been occupying the lane. Alerts remain on-screen until closed manually or until the issue is resolved on the originating lane; optionally an attention light can blink on the affected lane while the alert is active. Sites can use Patheon Portal to choose which terminal types receive the toast and whether attention lighting is enabled, helping staff respond faster, reduce lane downtime, and improve customer throughput and satisfaction. Important: Contact DRB for help configuring this.
API
Data and Transactional API customers now have centralized M2M API token management
- The centralized M2M token management makes third-party integrations more reliable and controllable. By default, customers are limited to 5 data API machines and 5 transactional API machines (counted separately); Patheon Portal now shows those limits and prevents adding new machines once a limit is reached (existing machines are not removed). Portal admins can also view and set per-customer daily token quotas, with the ability to revert to the current default, and API responses will include the customer's quota and remaining tokens with a warning when limits are approached.
Transactional API customers can now sell multiple gift cards in a single Transactional API checkout
- Transactional API customers can now sell multiple gift cards in a single Transactional API checkout, so third-party ecommerce sites can offer promotions like BOGO more easily. You can set the quantity for a single gift card SKU and the exact denominations entered will be purchases together in one transaction. Note: You may only add multiple copies of the same gift card product, not different cards in the same line. Automatic discounts that depend on specific cart contents will be applied correctly, and the system will create proper line-items for each gift card and each discount so totals, reporting, and transaction records remain accurate.
Dashboards
The Insights 2.0 plan churn dashboard now includes information about voluntary and involuntary churn
- The Plan Churn dashboard now includes the key drivers behind both voluntary and involuntary churn so sites can act on the root causes. New visuals include an Ended Plan Reasons chart and a Top Payment Failure Reasons Leading To Churn chart (the payment chart uses the most recent failure before churn), each showing counts by reason (including a No Reason Entered category), exportable, and filterable by Plan Type using an improved searchable dropdown slicer. On the desktop version, the charts support horizontal scrolling for full lists; on the mobile version, they show the top results without horizontal scrolling for easier viewing. Additionally, any rounded counts or revenue figures now display the exact values in a tool tip across key indicators so sites always have precise metrics when making decisions.
Discounts
Discounts can now be created to target plan sales
- Sites can now create discounts that target plan sales, including plan transfers, even when a customer already has a plan. A new Plan condition displays on the add discount panel, which allows sites to choose "Any Plan" (the default) - which will match all current and future plans without further updates - or pick a specific set of plans from a selection grid (at least one must be selected when choosing specific plans). The Plan condition is mutually exclusive with Item(s), Product Type(s), and New Member conditions and does not use a "days since last plan" threshold. Only the Flexible Reload Discount action is available for Plan(s) discounts, and saved discounts are persisted and synced to sites. Additionally, the New Plan Member and Active Member conditions have been renamed to New Member and Active Plan.
Patheon Portal
POS Management Tool changes can now be applied to multiple sites from the Point of Sale Management panel
- Sites can now push POS Management Tool changes, such as changing a button color or changing a button label, to multiple sites from the point of sale management panel, so updates can be applied in mass to a site's group and save significant time. When publishing a site-level override, sites can choose the group and select or deselect which sites receive the change; any sites that are ineligible for a specific item are shown disabled so incompatible updates aren't applied. The mass-update option is available only to users with site configuration permissions; once applied, changes from a single site can be pushed to the selected group of sites. Additionally, the and options have been removed from the point of sale management panel.
POS - Cashier
Sites using CardConnect now have the option to cancel payments at cashier terminals
- Cashier terminals for sites using CardConnect now feature a function on the Payment Terminal has been activated dialog so staff can quickly recover the terminal when activation stalls. Selecting opens the Are you sure you want to cancel? dialog; selecting Yes closes the dialog and returns the card reader to its idle screen. Selecting No leaves the activation dialog open and does nothing further. This restores access to the terminal so staff can continue and complete transactions without restarting the terminal, reducing downtime during payment issues.
Prepaids
Prepaid wash cards can now be redeemed immediately at the point of sale
- Sites can now offer immediate redemption of prepaid wash cards at the point of sale so customers can be sent through the lane without rescanning. A redemption toggle appears in the cashier terminal cart: on the Members Lane POS it's labeled Redeem now and enabled by default, while office, tablet, and tunnel entrance terminals show Add to Queue? and are disabled by default. The feature applies only to regular (non-instant) prepaids and to reloads. When enabled, purchases are redeemed immediately and adds the vehicle to the queue. If multiple prepaid items are in the cart, only the first is eligible by default and changing the default disables the previous selection.
Receipts
Sites can now configure how many pre-receipt copies print automatically
- Sites can now configure how may pre-sale (pre-receipt) copies print automatically when a cashier terminal sale is released using Patheon Portal. Sites can set a client-wide value of 0-3 copies, with 1 copy being the default option, and it will sync to all sites. Patheon Portal shows and allows editing of the current setting (digits only, min 0, max 3), and the cashier terminal will print that exact number of pre-receipt copies upon sale release. A copy is also retained locally on the terminal, helping sites standardize paper use and giving staff receipts for vehicle reference.
Wash Subscriptions
Staff can now easily identify the employee responsible for original wash subscription sales
- A new SOLD BY field now displays next to each membership in the PLANS section of the customer detail panel on both the Patheon Portal and cashier terminals. The field shows the employee who made the original plan sale and remains tied to that membership even if the customer later upgrades or downgrades, so cashiers can confirm commission ownership and managers can quickly identify who handled a sale when resolving complaints. If no employee was recorded at the time of sale, the field will be blank. The system always shows the original salesperson, it will not reattribute the sale to a different employee.
Resolved Issues
House Accounts
- An issue that could cause the inability to modify or delete house account information is resolved.
Patheon Portal
- An issue that could cause the Apply Discount widget to be missing from Patheon Portal's plan change order confirmation page, preventing users from applying coupon discounts during a plan change, is resolved.
POS - Kiosk
- An issue that could cause the Approve dialog to display on kiosks before a credit card is entered is resolved.
- An issue that could cause kiosks to go to the Attendant Help screen and then loop back to the prepaid redemption error screen, rather than returning to the main menu, when a prepaid with a zero balance is scanned is resolved.
- An issue that could prevent customers using a kiosk from seeing the yellow "Insert/Present card" prompt on the credit card payment screen is resolved.
POS - Tablet
- An issue that could cause RFID scans on tablets to be recorded in the wrong format and produce format errors when scanning vehicle RFIDs is resolved.
POS - Tunnel Entrance
- An issue that could cause Tunnel Watch to receive random "Cancel" options from Patheon, resulting in unintended dry washes in the tunnel multiple times a day despite no errors in Tunnel Watch logs, is resolved.
Reports
- An issue that could cause redemption reporting to misidentify product names and produce duplicate code entries is resolved.
- An issue that could cause the XPT Cash Audit to fail to reflect net over/short amounts so shortages entered on the POS Cash Balance panel after cassette replacement do not appear in the closed/reconciled audit report is resolved.
Wash Subscriptions
- An issue that could cause imported UBAR plans to remain stuck at 0 units, fail to create reload transactions, and not attempt payment, leaving plans active without reloading, is resolved.
