Patheon R70 Release Notes

Patheon release 70 includes the following enhancements:

  • Sites can now accept Card on File (COF) payments for eligible kiosk plan redemption upsells, helping speed transactions and improve upsell conversion.
  • Sites can now see the interior product revenue included across key reports and dashboards, improving visibility into sales performance and revenue totals.
  • Sites can now disable NFC/contactless payments for CardConnect ARM plan purchases on attended BOLT terminals, helping reduce membership churn by ensuring customers insert a physical card for COF setup.
  • The Insights 2.0 Sales Leaderboard dashboard now supports more detailed employee-level reporting, giving managers clearer visibility into how individual employees contribute to sales across different product and service categories.
  • Customers can now see prepaid, discount, coupon, gift card, and prepaid card offers linked to their account in Beacon Mobile, helping sites provide a more complete view of active customer offers sent through Catalyst or purchases through mobile channels.
  • Sites can now choose to to offer a retention discount to customers who try to cancel a plan using the EWA that already has an active or upcoming discount, helping sites save more memberships instead of blocking the offer because of existing promotions.
  • Sites can now choose to let unpaid transactions with wash services be sent to the wash queue, helping flex and full-service operators keep vehicles moving through the tunnel when payment is collected later in the service flow.
  • Staff can now send an extra roller for a vehicle earlier in the wash process, helping keep the tunnel moving without waiting for the car to pass the photo eye.
  • Sites can now automatically create and track non-member customer records from license plate recognition (LPR) data on attended lanes, helping preserve visit and transaction history for future use.

Enhancements

Customers

Customer offers can now stay in sync between Catalyst, Patheon, and Beacon Mobile

  • Patheon can now connect prepaid, discount, coupon, and instant prepaid codes sent through Catalyst to the correct customer record, so customers can see their available offers in Beacon Mobile. When Catalyst sends a batch of codes to PatheonPatheon checks that each code and customer exists and prevents the same code from being assigned more than once. Beacon Mobile can then pull the customer's linked offers from Patheon and show them in the Offers section, giving customers one place to view offers they have received. Gift card and prepaid cards purchased through the mobile channels can also be tied to the customer record, helping managers and marketing teams keep customer offers organized and easier to support.

Non-member customer tracking is now available on attended lanes with LPR

  • When the LPR and customer tracking features are enabled, Patheon can use LPR on attended lanes to create a non-member customer and vehicle record when no matching customer is found, as long as the license plate number is captured. The transaction is then associated with that customer record, allowing future purchases, plan sales, and updates - such as phone number or cardholder name - to remain tied to the same customer. If there is not enough license plate data, the sale continues without creating a customer record. The No Plan Vehicle Match workflow has also been updated with a Proceed option to help staff continue the sale while preserving the current session.

Dashboards

The Insights 2.0 Sales Leaderboard dashboard now supports more detailed employee-level reporting

  • Staff can now view Sales Leaderboard performance with employee-level product and service detail, helping managers more accurately measure individual sales contribution. Reporting can now break performance down by product type, including washes, a la carte items, lobby sales, and interior services, with revenue and counts attributed to the appropriate employee. This improves visibility into transactions that include multiple service types or multiple employees, helping ensure each employee receives credit for the specific items or services they sold. New daily, monthly, and yearly rollups also make it easier to review employee performance by site, organization, and time period.

Payments

Kiosk plan redemption upsells now support COF payments

  • Patheon now supports COF as a payment option for upsells purchased during plan redemption on kiosks. When a member selects an upsell in the redemption flow, the kiosk can display a COF payment option that uses the credit card linked directly to the member's plan, along with the option to choose another configured payment method. If the COF payment is successful, the kiosk continues through the standard receipt or thank-you flow; if the payment is declined or another issue occurs, the kiosk displays the existing transaction error screens and lets the member retry or choose another payment method. This feature is available only for kiosk plan redemption upsells, does not require separate site-level activation, supports all payment processors, and keeps receipts and transaction records consistent with standard payment transactions.

Sites can now disable NFC for CardConnect plan purchases

  • Sites now have clearer control over NFC/contactless payments for ARM plan purchases and COF transactions. When Disable NFC is configured for attended BOLT terminals, NFC-based plan sales will be declined, and any non-$0 transaction will be automatically voided to prevent storing a payment method from a digital wallet or contactless tap. Cashiers will see updated messaging instructing them to have the customer insert their card instead of using NFC: "Payment not complete: Unable to store payment method, please instruct customer to INSERT their card, and NOT use NFC.". If Disable NFC is not configured, NFC plan sales can continue as long as the payment token is valid.

POS - EWA Customer App

Plans with existing discounts can now receive cancellation save offers on the EWA

  • When setting up a discount-based cancellation promotion for the EWA in Patheon Portal, sites can now choose to include plans that already have active or pending discount periods. This setting is off by default, giving sites control over whether these customers should be eligible for another save offer. If the customer accepts the new offer during cancellation, Patheon keeps the discount period the customer is currently using, removes any future scheduled discount periods, and replaces them with the newly accepted offer. If future discounts are already scheduled, the customer is informed that accepting the new offer will replace those upcoming discounts, helping keep the experience clear while giving operators more flexibility to retain members.

POS - Tunnel Entrance

Extra rollers can now be sent earlier to keep the tunnel moving

  • Operators can now send an extra roller when a vehicle needs one, even if the vehicle has not yet passed the photo eye or enter switch. The send roller option has been repositioned and is available after send options have been sent for the current vehicle. This provides operators with a manual override for situations such as a small vehicle hopping a roller, helping reduce delays and maintain tunnel throughput.

Reports

Sites can now see interior revenue reflected across key reports and dashboards

  • Interior products and related transaction classifications are now available in core reporting, including the General Sales Report (GSR), employee sales dashboard, Product Mix reporting, and revenue summary views. Interior revenue appears as its own section in the single-day GSR when applicable, is grouped by profit center, and is included in gross and net totals without changing existing revenue logic for other product types.

Wash Queue Management

Vehicles can now be washed before payment is collected

  • A new tunnel configuration setting lets managers decide whether a tunnel can wash vehicles before the transaction is paid, with the setting turned off by default. When enabled, attendants can release an unpaid sale that includes an automatic wash service, and Patheon will place the vehicle in the appropriate unqueued or queued status based on the terminal's queue settings. The active sales panel now shows clearer payment, queue, and service status information, making it easier for staff to see which sales are paid, unpaid, queued, or still waiting for service. Unpaid vehicles can also appear in the wash queue with clear paid/unpaid indicators, and staff can manage them using the same queue actions available for paid vehicles. If an unpaid sale is cancelled or abandoned before the vehicle is sent, Patheon removes the vehicle from the queue to help keep the tunnel flow accurate.

Resolved Issues

Data Migration

  • An issue where existing BillCycles were not marked complete during delta migration after a SiteWatch reload, causing Patheon to continue attempting reloads instead of recognizing those billing cycles as completed, is resolved.

POS - Cashier

  • An issue where cashier terminals could automatically log out after 15 minutes even when inactivity logout was disabled, interrupting staff sessions that should remain active, is resolved.

Receipts

  • An issue where viewing a customer receipt in Patheon Portal for a recent reload sale could return a 400 error instead of opening the receipt, preventing sites from sending customers a copy, is resolved.

Wash Subscriptions

  • An issue where membership purchase charges processed through WorldPay could occur but not appear in Patheon reports, customer records, or credit card reporting, making the charges difficult to locate, is resolved.
